Vintage Spring Cardigan Knitting Pattern

Get ready for warmer weather with this vintage spring cardigan knitting pattern from Red Heart yarns. Knit using size 6 and size 11 needles to make the long stitch pattern, you start at the neck and knit down. The designers call this a “Timesaver Design” and it is–the long stitches add an interesting texture, and make it fast off your needles.

Although the pattern isn’t dated, the hair styles on the models and the long a-line skirts say 1960s. What do you think?

The pattern itself is a PDF for you to download.

What color will you make your sweater in? A soft pastel ombre for spring or a bright single color? This design would be nice with jeans, over a sleeveless dress or with an a-line skirt (vintage, of course).
