Nine Things To Try While Hibernating

Nine things to learn while you’re staying at home:
  1. Buy a cool chair, preferably one that twirls:  1970s Kevi Drafting Chair –  NextStage Vintage, $350
  2. Redecorate with original art, made by your own hand or salvaged from an online vintage shop:  Artist Signed Acrylic Floral Painting – Alegria Collection, $75
  3. Check out your ancestors on the online genealogy sites. If you can’t find photos of your own family, opt for “instant ancestors”  and write a story for them: Antique Photograph Cabinet Card  – Third Shift Vintage, $12
  4. Take up stargazing. Look for real ones at night and sparkly wearable ones during the day: Starburst Rhinestone Brooch  – Vintage Renude, $21.95
  5. Teach yourself to sew, then make yourself something spiffy:  White Sewing Machine, c. 1910s – Callooh Callay,$145
  6. Reread the classics and the books you loved as a kid. If they happen to be colorful, all the better: Instant Library Collection – Sorry Thank You 79, $48.25
  7. Start feeding the birds in your yard. Keep a journal to share with your neighbors as you spot new ones: Brass Birds in Flight Statue – Attic and Barn Treasures, $37
  8. Listen to music, all kinds of music. Dance like there’s nobody watching: Nippon Nipper the Dog and Gramaphone Figurine  –  Aunt Hatties Attic Vintage,  $31.99
  9. Break out the cards and the board games, the older the better: Hickety Pickety Board Game – Selective Salvage, $55
