Vintage Picks of the Week – Holiday Packaging

Sometimes it’s all about the holiday packaging. When you walk through the malls and see stacks of oversized gifts all wrapped in shiny paper with big ribbons and glitter and festooned with holiday decorations you are dazzled. You know those packages are empty, but you want to open them anyway because the wrapping is just so tantalizing. That’s the feeling we’re trying to recreate with vintage holiday packaging. This week’s vintage picks are brought to you by Pam of  Vintage Renude.

Vintage Holiday Tins

What’s great about these: Baked goods make great holiday gifts and these tins would be a fun way to package cookies, fudge, or other holiday confections. How much fun would it be to receive one of these filled with holiday treats?

Christmas Holiday Gift Wrap

Wrap it all in Vintage: There’s enough vintage gift wrap paper and tissue here for loads of gifts. If you’re shopping vintage for the holidays, wrapping it all up in vintage gift wrap is the perfect final touch.

Holiday gift-giving is more than just the gifts themselves, it’s opening the presents and even before that, seeing them all beautifully gift-wrapped under the tree. There are so many creative ways to wrap gifts. Old tins, baskets, scarves, fabric scraps, and one of my favorites, brown paper decorated with handmade potato prints done by the kids. Do you have a favorite way to wrap your holiday gifts?
