Offering a handmade redware dish found in 1992. Unsigned but attributed to Steve Nutt, an American potter who began his career at Richmond Restoration in Staten Island, NY. Nothing says love like a gift of vintage folk art.

Valentine’s Day Party Paper Tablecloth
By definition ephemera is “things that exist or are used or enjoyed for only a short time”. Speaking of a long life this tablecloth survived from the 1970s due to its original packaging along with being stored in a drawer or cabinet over the decades. I remember the fun and patterned paper tablecloths that my Mom or teachers would serve the obligatory valentine cupcakes and punch on. This plays on the heartstrings of my nostalgic heart and always made the table fun and boosted any event into a party. Just one spilled cup of punch ends its festive but short life. My friends, as sad as that is, ephemera is wonderful despite its lifespan.

Eisenberg Swarovski Crystal Brooch
Eisenberg jewelry is highly collectible for good reason. Made with the highest quality components, it was created to not only dazzle but to last as well. Did you know the original Eisenberg company began in 1914 selling clothing and perfume? Jewelry was a later attempt to accessorize the clothing in order to increase sales. This piece made with Swarovski crystals and Rhodium plated metal is often referred to as Eisenberg Ice, although this piece is simply marked Eisenberg in block letters.

1950s Edaville Railroad plate
The world is dotted with tourist attractions that begin as passion projects, and the Edaville Railroad in South Carver, MA is among them. Sited amid cranberry bogs, the start was a practical one. In 1947, a grower purchased a mothballed narrow gauge railroad to carry his produce from the bogs to the drying house. As has been said, if you build it they will come, and people did. Edaville has had its ups and downs, changes of ownership, changes in financial fortune, but it continues to charm in its current incarnation. Railroads have a way of doing that.
