  1. I have always loved hollyhocks growing next to white clapboard buildings. They remind me of genteel and dignified ladies! Thanks for this array of those hues.

    1. I?them too, Mary Ellen. They remind me of my Grandma Grace who reroofed her garage by herself at the age of 78! She was a pioneer from South Dakota which says to me that hollyhocks were planted by all sorts of women, back in the day.
