Two former employees of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s glassworks, Martin Bach and Thomas Johnson, founded the Quezal firm in 1900. Named after the brightly feathered Central American quetzal bird, the company made brightly colored glass, comparable to that of their former employer. The company was known for feathered or pulled glass and iridescent gold glass.
