A Tribute to Jimmy Carter

What an amazing President we had in a man who wanted us to call him Jimmy. He installed solar panels on the White House roof to encourage new technologies for climate change and, to quote him, to use “the power of the sun to enrich our lives as we move away from our crippling dependence on foreign oil.” He is famous for his vow that he would never lie in his presidency. We will miss him and his wife, who are now at rest with each other in their beloved home town.

Here are some pieces of memorabilia that others have collected or saved in the 1970s to hold dear or to invite reflection on his very long life.
