It’s time for our Vintage Picks of the Week! We scour the internet looking for just the right piece of vintage to add to our decor and include ideas on how we think these pieces could be used.
Today’s picks are brought to you by Mary Ellen at Aunt Hatties Attic Vintage .
Tonight if the sky is clear, we will experience a Super Blue Moon and for those of you lucky West Coast inhabitants, a Super Blue Moon, Blood Moon Eclipse. So this inspired me for my Vintage Picks Of The Week. Some vintage items can be found in multiples, so you can select the best price or best condition when you go to purchase. Other times, something comes along “once in a blue moon” and you know you may never come across another one like it. I love selling both of those kinds of vintage! I had so many lovely blue moon themed vintage things to choose from.
Antique Art Deco Blue Moon Chocolate Box
What I Like About It: The sweet romance of it
How I Would Use It: Every once in a while, I’d bake my husband’s favorite cookies and fill the tin with them. It also could hold candy or a love note or gift certificate.
Erte Matted Print – Crescent Moon Lady in Blue
What I Like About It: This is a beautiful design and matted to mimic the moon, which I love to watch.
How I Would Use It: I would hang this in my bedroom as she is so serene and lovely.
Vintage Moon Globe on Stand
What I Like About It: I love the cool blue color and the uniqueness of it. I didn’t even know that these existed!
How I Would Use It: I would like to pore over this and then compare it to lunar photographs. I wonder if I will only get there in my dreams.
So there you have it! My three favorite vintage picks for the week! Make sure to check back to see what items are on the Pick List next week!
