Our favorite finds from the internet this past week.
Dot (AtticandBarnTreasures.com) – Calling all motorcycle lovers! The annual Mecum Vintage and Antique Motorcycle Auction will be held January 23 – 27 in Las Vegas, NV. BUT – wait until you see the main attraction. Even if you aren’t a part of the two-wheel crowd you will enjoy the vintage photos and postcards in the slideshow.
JayDee (ThirdShiftVintage.com) – As a kid, teenager, and young adult, I loved going to the drive-in movie theaters! They were so much fun. There was just nothing like sitting in your vehicle with a speaker hung over your window, watching a movie outside on a Summer night. I stumbled on this photo article this week showcasing forgotten drive-in theaters and thought you might like this.
Laurie (NextStageVintage.com) – Snow sculptures are always cool to look at, but I never really thought about how they got made. Snowmen are built from rolled balls, snow sculptures start with compressed blocks of snow. I enjoyed this so cool it’s cold how to post with steps from flakes to finished sculpture and this pix list of sculpting tools for when you are thinking big.
Linda (SelectiveSalvage.com) – I got a kick out of reviewing the Pinterest 100 list – “Top Trends to try in 2018“. (For the record, we painted our living area a lovely sage color, long before Pinterest tapped it as their “new neutral” for 2018.)
Mary Ellen (AuntHattiesAtticVintage.com) – – I have to admit that I LOVE what Grandma and Grandpa used daily whether it is valuable today or not! 5 Things You Might’ve Inherited from Grandma That Are Worth a Lot of Money.
Pam (VintageRenude.com) – I bet you thought icebergs only came in white, perhaps with a hint of blue when they break off or calve. Nope! They come in lots of colors, including stripes! Check out this cool slide show to see for yourself.Icebergs can be Green, Black, Striped, Even Rainbow.
