Our favorite finds from the internet this past week.

Dot  (AtticandBarnTreasures.com) – Recycling your Christmas tree doesn’t always mean mulching it. This Old House has some clever ideas for recycling your tree.

JayDee (ThirdShiftVintage.com) – Need a last-minute gift idea? Check out this awesome recipe for homemade Bailey’s Irish Cream. Mmmmm…. Perfect for gifts for your neighbors. Enjoy!

Laurie (NextStageVintage.com) – Thinking ahead here–a lot of us start the New Year with the idea of reducing clutter around our homes. There are tons of great local non-profits that love small donations but for furniture and sets of things like dishes and pans, consider donating a furniture bank.

Linda (SelectiveSalvage.com) –  Who knows if these stories about Christmas are fact or fiction but I did enjoy reading about the history of “The Man Behind St. Nicholas/Santa Claus.”

Mary Ellen (AuntHattiesAtticVintage.com) –  I worked several Christmas Seasons in our city’s largest department store, Goodnow Pearson’s making change far away from the hustle and bustle of shoppers. “How can that be?” you might ask. We had a pneumatic cash system that ran through the store! If you love this you may enjoy perusing this English website.Welcome to the Cash Railway Website I’d actually go and visit one or two of these when I’m in England!

Pam (VintageRenude.com) – One of my favorite things to do at the end of the year is read through all those “Best of” lists. This one happens to be right up my alley. Fast Company’s The 25 Best New Apps of 2017
