Our favorite finds from the internet this past week.

Dot (AtticAndBarnTreasures.com) – Yawn. Do you reach for a cup of Joe every morning to help you wake up? Of course it’s the caffeine that gives you the jolt you need but WHY does it work?

JayDee (ThirdShiftVintage.com) – I love Summer – especially the month of August. The Perseid meteor shower in August is usually pretty spectacular, and it gives us a great excuse to host meteor shower observing parties with our friends. Here’s an article I found this week to help you keep an eye out for the Perseids. Eyes to the sky!

Laurie (NextStageVintage.com) – It’s been a long time since I made a sand candle. (It’s been a long time since I made any candle.) But after declaring a 1 day beach vacation this week, I might need to make some retro sand candles.

Linda (SelectiveSalvage.com) – The Vintage Unscripted team is located all around the country and we often laugh about our regional vocabulary. What fun it was for me to stumble across this article from the Readers Digest “Say These 9 Words, and We’ll Tell You Where You Grew Up”. Check it out and see if their logic holds true for you. I grew up in the military so it’s no wonder my vocabulary shows I am from a little bit of everywhere.

Mary Ellen (AuntHattiesAtticVintage.com) – Has been off having fun in Vermont this week. She’ll be back to surfing online with the rest of us soon.

Pam (VintageRenude.com) – This month we are being treated to one of mother natures coolest visuals, a Total Solar Eclipse NASA has provided us with everything we need to know about this amazing phenomenon.

Tina (GirlPickers.com) –  Very cool video showing how marbles are made.
