Our favorite finds from the internet this past week.

Dot (AtticAndBarnTreasures.com) – How do you see colors? Take this FUN quiz and find out how the colors you see will identify your age. (spoiler – it doesn’t really come close to your REAL age but it is a fun quiz!)

JayDee (ThirdShiftVintage.com) – Have you ever thought about living in a houseboat? Just floating up and down the mighty Mississippi, or maybe some place more exotic? I was fortunate enough to spend almost two weeks on a houseboat with my family, and I have to say – it’s quite an experience! I stumbled on an article this week on Curbed showing houseboats for sale. You have to check out this one in Seattle! Bon voyage!

Laurie (NextStageVintage.com) – Your never too old for a Slip and Slide. We have a tiny hill in our backyard and the kids made one with thick plastic and a slow running hose (that provided water for the garden at the same time it made the plastic slip worthy. In a shocking development, the internet is full of ideas for building your own: from the Art of Manliness, from Wired, from Bob Vila, and one from Snapguide.

Linda (SelectiveSalvage.com) –  Even if you aren’t a bird lover, I think you’ll find this article about hummingbirds – the perfect flying machine fascinating. Mother Nature is the consummate design engineer.

Mary Ellen (AuntHattiesAtticVintage.com) – I always thought that these vibrant bird ornaments were first created by the plastic companies of nearby Leominster MA How the Pink Plastic Flamingo Became an Icon Enjoy!

Tina (GirlPickers.com) –  Science and nature, oh my!!  Casts made with 3D printers and did you know that Octopus are incredibly smart?  This FB page will WOW you!
