It’s time for our series, Vintage Picks of the Week! We scour the internet looking for just the right piece of vintage to add to our decor, and include ideas on how we think these pieces could be used.
The Picks this week are brought to you by Laurie at NextStage Vintage.
Cotton bright floral print
What I Like About It: The colors, the scale, the pure happy. This vintage yardage from Sharon’s Antiques is delicious in every way.
How I Would Use It: This is a skirt just asking to be sewn. I’m not a tiny size, many vintage clothes are. My solution is to make my own vintage out of vintage fabric.
Gray cotton with abstract people and animals
What I Like About It: Those crazy cute little humans in hoodies. The charcoal, black, white and pink…sigh…thank you antiquefabric.com for showing me something this wonderful exists.
How I Would Use It: This one would probably be best as a dress, perhaps one with a nice full skirt (and pockets).
1950s atomic barkcloth
What I Like About It: Everything. Every. Single. Thing. It’s atomic, it’s barkcloth, it’s absolutely fantastic colors. From Etsy seller nicework in the UK.
How I Would Use It: This swank barkcloth would have to be used in some kind of home dec way, I’m going with valances.
So there you have it! My three favorite vintage picks for the week! Make sure to check back to see what items are on the Pick List next week!
