Our favorite finds from the internet this past week.

Dot (AtticAndBarnTreasures.com) – Did you know that April is National Decorating Month? Well we didn’t either but that DID send us on a hunt for easy projects. How about painting your cabinets! No? Well then how about a concrete countertop – DIY style!

JayDee (ThirdShiftVintage.com) – Oh. My. Check out these very clever succulent cakes and cup cakes! Aren’t they gorgeous?! I make my Grandma’s Crazy Cake recipe quite often (it’s a family favorite for over 70 years) and the next time I make it, I’m going to turn it into succulent cup cakes for the May Day Baskets I make for our neighbors!

Laurie (NextStageVintage.com) – Do you knit or crochet? Are you a slightly subversive human being? Yarn bombing may be for you. Like most covert street art, it’s impossible to pin down exactly who where and when it started. Leanne Prain’s 2009 book Yarn Bombing was my inspiration when I collaborated with five stealthy family members and friends to yarn bomb an noble old maple in our front yard to celebrate  my girl-child’s high school graduation. Now that the weather is warming up, I’m thinking it might be time for another stealth yarn bombing operation. I’m fueling up my creativity here and here and here

Linda (SelectiveSalvage.com) –  I was introduced to the Brazilian acrobatic dance form Zurcaroh this week. Not as a participant, you understand, but as a spectator and all I can say is “WOW”.

Mary Ellen (AuntHattiesAtticVintage.com) – We got the beat! Yah! What Do Hanson And Madonna Have In Common? Hits Ideal For Saving A Life

Tina (GirlPickers.com) – Not everybody will be excited about this but I am a collector of Mason jars and my mother’s maiden name is Mason so there’s a reason.  Anyhow…Ball just announced a new designed jar with a spiral design and a new miniature jar too!

Pam (VintageRenude.com) – For anyone who knows me, it’s no secret that I love a good beer, preferably a good craft beer.  So for those who love beer, here is a list of The 10 best beer cities in the US. Raise your glass and say Cheers!
