Our favorite finds from the internet this past week.
Dot (AtticAndBarnTreasures.com) – I love working with this icing! It works perfect for decorating and it a must for your Easter cakes. If you are in need of a refresher on making flowers for your cakes and cupcakes you really need THIS. And just in case you have a thing for sunflowers (made of icing!)……. Enjoy!
JayDee (ThirdShiftVintage.com) – Oh my goodness, do I have Spring Fever! My mind is on my flower gardens. I plant over a thousand annuals every year in our various gardens, choosing annuals because I like to change things up each year and try new flowers. I especially like finding unique and unusual flowers to be a focal point in each garden. While searching the Internet for ideas, I ran across this article “15 Flowers to Try This Spring” by DesignSponge. I’m really looking forward to trying the Cobea Scandens this year – what an amazing flower!
Laurie (NextStageVintage.com) – Shout out to my friend Helen who posted an incredible Buzzfeed Sweaty video of four guys old enough to know better skating on an ice covered trail in Duluth, MN. The original Vimeo trail skating video is even more funny/amazing/mind blowing.
Linda (SelectiveSalvage.com) – I think a quick trip to Sweden is in order to see the world’s first mall that sells only recycled goods. Talk about the perfect excuse to go shopping.
Mary Ellen -(AuntHattiesAtticVintage.com) – My Mother in Law always had a tidy home and went through a deep spring cleaning every year. Now that I’m retired, I’d like to develop a better spring cleaning habit with 30 Days of Spring Cleaning Tips for a Sparkling Home.
Tina – (GirlPickers.com) – I have always admired crazy quilts and recently came across this article on Crazy Quilt History. They are so colorful and I just love the different hand stitching.
Pam – (VintageRenude.com) – Since California has had more than it’s share of rain so far this season, the Southern California desserts are blooming with gorgeous carpets of Spring Poppies. What a beautiful sight!
