Our favorite finds from the internet this past week.
JayDee (ThirdShiftVintage.com) – Now that it’s Spring, my thoughts turn toward my gardens. We have a lot of moss growing in our woods and I have been able to use some of that moss to start the moss growing on some large boulders along our driveway. I have often thought of creating a little community of small sculptures to hide in the woods, then help the moss get started on covering them. I found this photo as inspiration. Can you just imagine it? Walking along a path in the woods, and tucked unexpectedly just off the path you are greeted by moss covered “people”. I can’t wait to get started! If you like moss, here is an interesting article I found this week called “The Truth About Moss – Dispelling Moss Myths“.
Laurie (NextStageVintage.com) – We still have an extensive vinyl collection, mostly 1970s-1980s new wave, punk and British invasion. And I know vinyl is back. But I never much thought about how LPs get made. Story on APM Marketplace this morning led me to this indie record company and modern maker of LPs, Hand Drawn Records.
Linda (SelectiveSalvage.com) – I am in awe of British artist Ann Carrington’s talent. Check out the way she transforms vintage silverware into gallery worthy bouquets.
Mary Ellen (AuntHattiesAtticVintage.com) – Another Kind Of Blue uses Technology and Dance to create a new form of art.
Tina – (GirlPickers.com) – While I don’t necessarily agree these are the worst Decor Trends from the year you were born, I certainly enjoyed browsing and seeing items that are now VINTAGE! And big flowers on matching curtains and bedspreads…I’m glad they’re gone!
Pam – (VintageRenude.com) – I don’t know about you, but I love Instagram. It’s by far my favorite Social Media app. I found this cool infographic of Instagram facts. 130+Facts about Instagram you should know in 2017.
