Our favorite finds from the internet this past week.

Dot (AtticAndBarnTreasures.com) – Ready to get your race on? The 59th running of the Daytona 500 will be held February 26th. This link gives you the schedule for the entire Speed Week events. No ticket? Too late now but you can always watch on TV. 🙂

JayDee (ThirdShiftVintage.com) – I was thrilled to find out that a school chair I have in my shop was included on Apartment Therapy this week in an article called “Build it on a Budget: Entryway Finds to Welcome You Home In Style“! I really enjoy reading the articles Apartment Therapy writes, so this really was a pleasant surprise.

Laurie (NextStageVintage.com) – Every once in a while I treat myself to a one day vacation in Providence, RI. I would tell you where I go thrifting, but a lady never reveals her secrets. So instead I’ll tell you the other local independent shops I never miss: Queen of Hearts & Modern Love, Craftland, and Lola. If you need a special occasion dress that doesn’t look like it escaped from a mall for those mom of bride or prom occasions, Lola and the unbelievably helpful owner have never disappointed our pack. Round out your day with the RISD Museum and the quirky and fabulous Providence Athenaeum

Linda (SelectiveSalvage.com) – A horse is a horse, of course, of course unless…..No, the right answer is not that he’s Mr. Ed. It’s that he is one of the horses who can communicate with humans using symbols. Pretty cool. Suppose this approach could work with teenagers?

Mary Ellen (AuntHattiesAtticVintage.com) – Can’t help humming this to myself when I’m at an estate sale. Thanks to Cheryl Wheeler.

Tina(GirlPickers.com) – How about a road trip?  Maybe….well how about a Vintage Shop Hop road trip!!  Grab your vintage pickin’ girlfriends and head to northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin on March 3 and 4 for their 4th annual event.
