Things to do on December 25 that don’t involve Christmas

Not everyone celebrates Christmas. Not everyone celebrates it in the traditional ways. We thought we offer some ideas for those who do December 25 in their own way.

One of the most time-honored and popular ideas around is going to the movies. But what about adding a vintage twist to that and watching a movie from the year you were born. For some of us that means movies from 1950’s, 60’s or 70’s. Here are a few classics to get you started:

The Sound of Music (1965)

The Graduate (1967)

The Sting (1973)

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)

Spend the day cooking or baking for the week ahead. Here are a few vintage recipes that work well for packing leftovers.
