It’s time for our new series, Vintage Picks of the Week! We scour the internet looking for just the right piece of vintage to add to our decor, and include ideas on how we think these pieces could be used.
The Picks this week are brought to you by Mary Ellen & Paul at AuntHattiesAtticVintage.
Waterman Red Ripple Fountain Pen
What I Like About It: A great example of a colorful pen from an era when almost all pens were black. This example survived with bright colors unlike many others that have dulled over the years.
Parker Vacumatic Striped Duofold Fountain Pen
What I Like About It: A nice colorful example of a Duofold pen with a vacumatic filler rather than the usual button filler.
Waterman Red Hard Rubber Silver Overlay Fountain Pen
What I Like About It: This pen is an interesting contrast to the usual black hard rubber usually found under silver overlay. The visual impact is so stunning I don’t understand why these are quite rare. It might be a difference of the times, perhaps this was too flashy for most when originally available.
So there you have it! My three favorite vintage picks for the week! Make sure to check back to see what items are on the Pick List next week!
