For ONE FULL YEAR, I had been planning to attend the most spectacular antique fair and flea market – rated one of the top 6 antique fairs in the nation. The anticipation for this trip these past several weeks had been building – and on Friday night this past week, I could barely sleep knowing “tomorrow was the day”!
Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans… she threw us a curve ball with an entire day of rain on Saturday, so we decided not to make the 3-hour trek south to attend this sale (where all day rain was also happening). It was a tough decision to make! But with the long distance and the unpredictability of how many vendors might actually be set up to sell in the rain (been there, done that), we decided we would have to pass on this years adventure.
As a consolation, we made a side trip to a unique used book store, and I found this fabulous book of world flowers. I guess rain showers, do bring flowers! Enjoy!
When you find beautiful illustrated plates in vintage books, do you leave them in the book, or do you pull them out and use them in your home decor or art projects?
